Colleen Hodgson - Songs Of Maggie

Colleen Hodgson's debut CD, a collaborative work with songwriting partner Maggie Fraser, was recorded at Liquid Toronto by multiple Juno and Maple Blues award-winning producer Alec Fraser (Jeff Healey). The result is an outstanding collection of darkly romantic, vividly moving songs brought to life by the fragile, powerful and emotionally charged vocals of Colleen Hodgson.
The first single "Alla' my Love" is an upbeat and ironically sinister love song from the perspective of a stalker:

I’m gonna write my name all over your body
I’m gonna write your name all over mine
You'll be in my power till the ink runs in the shower
and alla' my love goes swirling down the drain

Love, loss and longing are recurrent themes in this sometimes dark, often thought provoking collection of songs, beautifully rendered by "Lucid voiced Colleen Hodgson" (Brad Wheeler, Globe & Mail) and highlighted by guest performances by some of Ontario's top musicians, (Rick Fines, Jerome Godboo, Drew Jurecka).
