Catherine M Thompson Song Project: Celtic CatOn hearing Catherine M Thompson's beautiful Celtic folksong On The Water, producer/arranger Chris Birkett immediately suggested recording it. What transpired is her first song project, Celtic Cat, with co-writers Chris Birkett, Michael Graham, and David Lavkulik. This EP is a happy collaboration with demo singers Emily Brady and Christopher Weatherstone, also on saxophone, Ian Harper on Iulleann pipes, Matt Gerber on mandolin, with Chris Birkett adding richly layered instruments to Catherine's Celtic songs: On The Water, Sea Song, Stay Down Here With You, and Breathtaking Gown. Closer To The Truth, jazz with a desert vibe, hints at Catherine's next song project.
